Chapter 0: The Beginning

I am currently a 1st year MBBS student. Starting this blog is my way of capturing the experiences, challenges, and milestones that have shaped me up to this point. This chapter, “The Beginning,” is a look back at where it all started—before the textbooks, the late-night study sessions, and the white coat dreams.

When this all started?

As a child, my dreams ranged from becoming a scientist to an astronaut, or perhaps someone who could make a difference in the world. But my parents, especially my mom and dad, had their own dreams for me—they wanted to see me become a doctor. In our country, being a doctor is considered one of the noblest professions, a role that commands both respect and purpose. As I grew older, I started to realize that my childhood ambitions, however grand, might not be realistic given the circumstances around me. By adolescence, I faced the hard truth that not everyone has the freedom to pursue their passions. Yet, my fascination with science never faded. In school, the encouragement I received from teachers, especially in science, only strengthened my desire to do something meaningful for my family, society, and even the world.

It was then that my parents’ wish for me to become a doctor began to make sense. I realized that by following this path, I wouldn’t have to wait for success or wealth to help people—I could start making a difference as soon as I earned my medical degree. That realization fueled my motivation to pursue this noble career. With my dad’s help, I started researching what it would take to become a doctor. The journey ahead looked challenging, with years of rigorous learning and commitment. But I was ready to begin. And so, my journey toward medicine truly began.

Why I’m Sharing This Journey

Writing about my path is not just about looking back; it’s about offering something real and relatable to those who might be on a similar journey. Through these chapters, I’ll share my experiences, from the very first steps to the moments that turned my ambitions into reality. This isn’t just a story—it’s a learning process, for me and, hopefully, for you.

With each chapter, I’ll dive into different phases, like early inspirations, applying to medical school, dealing with challenges, and finding my purpose.
